The time has come for me to say goodbye

to this little blog as I feel BOHO know longer repesents me..Closing the store and moving to San Francisco had been quite an adjustment for me and I need a fresh start..

I feel that new doors are opening for me as old ones close..

And feel this blog will be more suited to where I am right now in my life...

Spring is here, and I am missing my garden so much..But, I do have to say my daugter(she is renting our house with some friends) has suddenly found she has a green finger and has been been doing an awesome job on the garden..
Our landlords did clear are very over grown yard this week, so I will have some space this year. Even though we have to share it with our upstairs neighbor. I am looking forward to planting some veggies and flowers....
But right now I am really loving these outside spaces and wishing I coulod wiggle my nose and they would magically appear in my space...

Mine..busy....
Friday I went to an Estate sale...there wasnt much there..ok let me rephrase that there was tons there but not much for me...I did get some great vintage postcards from England that I am going to use as save the date invites for our renewing or vows ceremony in July..A cute little book and a Beatles lunch box for my son as he loves them...
But I also went to a Goodwill Depot( now Im not sure if I am excited about this place or not..Cheap..Definately..But very dirty and smelly you just dig through bins of crap and hope you will find great things..
Which yes I did.

1. a vintage globe for my daughter ( I had found one the week before at my local GW but it was 24.00 Yikes)way to expensive but this one a 1.00 yes a 1.00.
2. some glass for my ceremony(its all going to be recycled)
3. 4 vintage dresses..yey me..
5. 3 books
6. vintage sheet
7. purse
They weigh it all and then tell your price...and my total was... wait for it..
$11.00 I know right..Great deal.. So I guess I have to put the smellyness(is that a word) out of my mind and go there again next time im in my hometown..
I also picked up a new piece of furniture to work on form anothere thrift store...

We just got back from a mini vacation to texas..Our friends live in Houston so we popped over for 4 days..And we got to go to Austin (whoop whoop) I have always wanted to go there..
And surprise surprise it was the south southwest festival......bands crafts food and drinks oh my oh my..

We had a great time and met even greater people..

Now back to rainy San Fran..getting ready for a craft show up in Sacramento this weekend....

And the answer is none of the above but all of the above..If I could I would have a different house for each style ok maybe thats a little extreme..but maybe a house with enough rooms for all my styles..

So of course im going to say my style is Boho Eclectic..

It was a busy week...I finished a dresser,posted it on craigslist,sold it,yey me!!!and then delivered it on sunday..Goodbye Miss margret..Soon I will have to keep a piece I finsh for me. I could do with something pretty to look at...
My sons best friends had there baby this week and he is just beautiful..So because they live in portland and all of there good friends live in calif..and my son is in Italy. I came up with the idea of making baby bohdi a blanket made out of the friends t-shirts..I finished it just in time and shipped it off last week..I hope they love it..
I really didnt do any thrifting this week as we did volunteer work this weekend, and also not having a car makes it extremly difficult to get around..But I did score these great mugs last weekend at an estate sale..and there was 6 of them!!!
We are off to Texas on thurs to see our good friends..Im so excited to see them..And I get to go to Austin!!!!!!Ive wanted to go there for a long time..I will take lots of pics and post them next week..

Im so blessed!!!! I have the best kids in the world..No really I do!!Moving to SF has been really hard for me, but everyday they call me to make sure I am ok and to give me encouragement..They are my joy my everything..Now dont get me wrong we have had our battles our demons to get over, but as my mum always said lay the right foundation and they will come back to it..I really hope wherever she is she see's that she was right...

Thank you all three of you for being you..strong,beautiful,bold,individual,loving,caring and more then anything mine..I love you...

I have been having a pretty difficult time setteling into our new home and city..So, I havent felt upto being productive or writting on my blog..But as of yesterday I kicked myself up the but and said get over it..As my friend always says It is was it is..And I can't change anything for two years...
So, starting today I will be looking for the positive in this move(but I cant promise that it will be everyday..we all have some down days don't we)I will be just having alot less of them...

And today I started off with a bang...I took pepper for a very long walk..(poor thing I sometimes forget he is only a little dog and gets tired quickly)and then came home and finished this........

So I caught up on some magazine reading..I just love Living Etc. which I have always thought of as a close version of our Domino(which is sadly no more)For some reason the English magazine market has not been as hard hit as ours,and many of the mags are still around..But thats a good thing as we can enjoy them too even if we are across the pond as they say...

I just finished Miss Em today and I am very happy with the way she turned out.....Now whether to sell her on Etsy or Craigslist..Im not to sure on the shipping and how that all works..Something to deffinately put on my to do list...So im thinking craigslist..What do you think..

I didnt like the orginal handles so I filled the holes with woodfiller and then sanded it all down..Then I put on two coats of the blue and sanded down where you might get some wear and tear, added new handles...then to finish off a coat of wax to protect it all........

Today has started off wonderful...I slept in then my hubby came home from work for 10 minutes and brought me flowers and see,s candy(yummy)And tonite he is cooking me dinner..its a surprise but I do know that it is all organic....Si it's already sounding good....I hope you lovelies all have a wonderful day today and get spoiled....

Ok onto thrift monday..I must admit I am really having a hard time here in San francisco...The thrift stores and estae sales are so expensive, I am thinking I will have to venture further a field..
But we did find an estate sale yesterday on our way home...It was a lovely home up in the Sunset District..And yes I asked was it for rent..Why yes she said for 3500.00 a month..(GULP)So, that was that..But this is what I did get....

A hand knitted blanket and a patchwork quilt..both in great condition..they wanted 30.00 for both but I managed to get them for 20.00

And this cute little book we got for free as my hubby helped the two ladies move a piece of furniture...its not in great condition but I love the dedication inside the cover..If you cant read it..It says From your Admirer..I thought that was perfect as it was Valentines weekend.....

Thrift Monday

I was really busy last week getting ready to do Alemeda Flea Market, so thrifting did not happen....But I thought I would share with you pics of my guestroom and go thru how frugal you can be when decorating a room..
While growing up we never had a lot of money.. (Well actually I've never had a lot of money!!!!)So my mum was always a thrifting shopper and that passed on down to me...
Now dont think that you have to like the way I decorate but you can see how cheaply it can be done and do it to your own style....

The room has to windowns that look out to a nasty wall and the owners had put up these platic blinds..So I found this great vintage fabric for $5 (there was tons of it)Now im not at sewing but I can run up the basic curtain.they took me about 45 minutes to do plus I made a pillow to match..The bed was given to us by my aunt..the quilt cover is from Elm but we had friends that worked there so they used there discount and it was on sale..originally 100.00 and we got it for 40.00..The throw on the bed was from goodwill 5.00

The picture I made..Old frame 2.00 and then I repainted over the picture that was in it..I typed out the words then took it to staples to enlarge $1.45 and then cut out the stencil.The guitar is my sons we bought it for him last xmas from a swapmeet $40.00

This table my son made in woodworking class when he was in highschool. The candle sticks were my mums that she got second hand..The pictures above the table are old shoehorns and silver serving utensils that were my grandparents..I bought the frames from Micheals with a couppon of course and painted them..The dress I found at an Estate sale for $24.00 its beautiful..Hubby and I are renewing our vows this year and this is what I am wearing..

Ok both the desk and chair were $2.00 each..YEY me..I painted the desk my favorite color... and all the bits on the table were thrift store finds, the books were my mum's..The mirror I got in england for 5.00 and the lamp was from target on sale for $10.00

So there you have it... for around $100.00 you can decorate a room....I hope you all feel inspired to decorate beautiful rooms and be frugal at the same time...send me pics of your beautiful cheap room and I will post them on my blog...www

So my friday post didnt happen this week..I think I should of thought first about doing a thrift post on friday as most of my finds are on the weekend..So from this week im going to change it to Monday's..Silly me..
I didnt find much this week. Well actually I only found one item..

I went to this estate sale marked most items $5.00. Well im not sure where they were as everything was hugely over priced..dresses at 150.00 jewelry at 60.00..now dont get me wrong these items were beautiful, but I dont think they warranted the price tags on them..

On Saturday hubby and I went into the Mission district and found a great thrift store that actually was not badly priced I was very happy.(I didnt find anything there this time but at least I now know where to go)The problem with San Francisco is that all of the thrift stores I am finding are hugely overpriced..I mean 26.00 for a gap sweater(REALLY)But im back up to Roseville this week so hopefully I will find some bargins...

So without any further ado...here is the vintage blouse I did get at the estate sale..I paid 7.00 for it which is not to bad but not a steal..

I ve been busy making our flat feel homey as well as making rings, painting furniture( step by step post coming soon..)and trying to help our poor dog pepper settle in...well really both of us..I have to admit I have been having a really hard time with this move(I know I move accross the ocean from one country to another and found it easier then this move)But im trying to stay positive and excited..everyday i go on a walk(a long walk 2-3 hours)to try and get to know whats around and i must admit I do enjoy that part of my day...Some days I take photos and others I am in my own little world and forget but, I thought I would show you some of the pics I do manage to take....

If I keep walking up steps or the hills in this city I am going to have legs like Arnie or a but like J-lo....

Urban color on Clement St. in San Francosco is officially going to being selling my rings........Thank you so much Kendra....Now i just have to get my furniture in a store and I will be a happy camper....

My friend is coming into town today with her adorable little boys, we are going to Golden Gate Park and then down to the beach to play..I am hoping it will be nice enough to have a picnic, but im pretty sure it wont be...

And then Im off to Roseville for a couple of days to finish off a comissioned piece of furniture and to visit with the kids...(plus sneak in some thrift shoping)

The flat is starting to look like a home...but boy its been hard work, hubby has been working long hours.So its pretty much been down to lonely old me to unpack everything...( I will post pics soon)

Today is suppose to be a nice day, So I think i'm going to walk up to Filmore St. and check it out. I'm also going to take my rings into a little boutique up the road from the flat and see if the lovely owner Kendra would be interested in selling them..Keep your fingers crossed..

My son flew into San Francisco last night....I am so excited that he will be home with us this Christmas( and not in Afganistan)Last year was very hard....
I love Christmas...It's my favorite holiday......And this one is going to be even more special as we will all be together in our house one last Christmas before we move to SF....And then we will be having our open house party on Boxing Day..So fun.....

So on Sunday we signed the lease on our new flat in San Francisco..Excited - yes, nervous - bigger yes..
hubby will be moving next week and then I will be moving dec.28th....So needless to say the next few week will be crazy..I finish work this sat and then I am officially a stay at home worker..Just hope people want to buy my things so I can make some money..If not out in to the big world with the thousands of others looking for work..
I think the hardest thing for me is being confident in myself and my talent, As I look thru other crafters blogs I keep wishing I can be like them...confident,carefree, and sooo talented...
But maybe doing this fulltime will help me become more confident...I mean think about I really dont have a choice if this is what I want to do.. I have to puy myself out there to sell my things..otherwise I have only failed myself...Does this make sense to anyone else???? Do you doubt yourself and if you do how do you work thru it?

Anyways I thought I would show you a few pics of the new flat..its empty of course..so later when we move in properly I will take more..

Since last friday I feel like I havent stopped....

First stop.. Friday morning hubby and I were off to San francisco, he is up for a promotion and had to go to the city to see the big man....We are still waiting to find out the outcome...

Friday night friends over for pizza and games..we had so much fun.....

Saturday we had the 2nd Eclectic Treasure show at my house..Met some great ladies and Michelle... thank you for our class on ring making....

Sunday I left for LA to see my sis and adorable nephew. oh and the crazy fat cat, Bowser...We had great fun walking on the beach,going to thrift stores, much to my sis's disgust(are we in the same family..I wonder) drinking wine and just hanging out...

and then I started making my new rings..(thanks again to the awesome Michelle for our lesson in ring making....)

And the finally of the week..... We found out Hubby is going to be promoted and that we will be moving to the Bay area..I have to admit I'm having very mixed feelingsabout this..I'm scared,nervous ,excited and overall happy and very proud of my hubby...now time to get busy finding a place to move..anyone know of a 2 bedroom plus garage that would love to rent to us and our two lovely dogs..That just happens to be great, fantastic, cute and dirt cheap!!!!!!!!!!!

So this week has been pretty standard...working, painting, paying bills....but I also got to slip in a margarirta night with two great friends and a walk with another awesome friend and then im doing lunch tomorrow with yet another wonderful friend...And then this weekend i am busy preparing for my show next Saturday YEY...i love having these shows and seeing some of my old customers from my brick and mortar store......

Things in our house have been a little crazy lately.......I have been working to many hours at my Part-time job,my hubby is waiting to hear back on a promotion in which we will be moving to the San Francisco area(scary) are son is getting ready to leave afganistan in 6 weeks(YEY)and for some reason Sacramento has decided to have a late summer its been in the high 90's to over 100 for the last two weeks...So needless to say I have had little time to do what I enjoy... Ok so things have been a little crazy around here..but in a good way ..my best friend of 24 years came over from England for 2 weeks, and man we had the best time we went on a roadtrip to LA via the Highway 1..for those of you who havent done it BEAUTIFUL...We had so much fun we talked we laughed we took photos...we also did Disneyland, San francisco and so much more.....

Then two weeks ago hubby and I went on our very first vacation on our own. No kids, friends, ect....We went to Maui and had a fantasic time....we just hung out, read books, swam, hiked and got lost (here) where it said no trespassing.....it was just a great trip that we really needed...But now we are back to the real world and I am busy getting ready for my next show as well as doiing a couple of custom pieces for some clients...I also have been working fulltime at my parttime job, so I have been a little stressed..But I am hoping that will change in the next few weeks so I can focus on my furniture,blog and etsy shop...I hope you all have a great week....

im sorry my post have been very few as of late...not an excuse but i have been really busy and then this last week i just havent cared...But i will say i am feeling a little more positive and a lot less angry(read previous post to undestand)
I have started on some new pieces and one is all but finished just having difficulties deciding on handles...

Ok so today i quit smoking...Now dont judge me..I actually quit 16 years ago but when my mum got sick two years ago. My sister and I had to nurse her through her cancer, and it got very tough, so I started smoking again to relieve some of the stress..
I promised my hubby I would try and quit, so today was the day and I have to tell you its been alot tougher then i expected, see the first time I quit I just quit it seemed so easy but i think this time I feel like Im letting go of my mum all over again..i know that sound strange but as i started again when I was taking care of her and now im quitting it feels like I am finally accepting she is no longer here..I know I sound crazy but for those of you who have lost some one special I know you can understand the strangeness of all of this...

I am hoping tomorrow will be easier as I think I might of wore my poor hubby out today... We went on two long walks, pulled weeds in the garden, cleaned the house and went shopping..poor guy....So keep your fingers crossed for me I am hoping I can do this... I set my self a treat at the end of one month..I can spend what ever i would of spent on ciggies at anthro....Now that is a huge reward for me as i only shop there to buy handles for my furniture and only when they are on sale..so watch this space in one month to see my new purchases.....

Today 23 years ago I gave birth to this beautiful boy.....Now let me tell you at that time in my life things were not going good for me( I wont bore you with the details) but when this precious child was born all my troubles just melted away...
We have had our ups and down with this the second child ( my mums swears by second child syndrome ) but he has always brought us love laughter and kindness.. He has a very big heart and a beautiful laugh,,That just warms you to the heart..Today I cant be with my son as he is in Afganistain fighting this horrible war, And for that I am pissed off because all I want to do is put my arms around him and give him a big sloppy kiss..
I love you and am so proud of you lee for not just being over their but for who you are...So the kisses hugs will wait till you come back,,Dont worry there will be lots..LOL..

I'm so excited my best friend of 26 years is flying in to today from England to spend 2 weeks with us..i have lots of lovelt things planned for the two of us..Tomorrow my hubby officially becomes and american citizen(YEY)so we will be going to watch that and then thurs day we are off down Highway 1 for the start of our roadtrip to So.Cal....it should be a beautiful drive....and then Sunday we are suprising her and taking her to disneyland.......and then we will head back up on Monday.....so I will be gone for a little while..So I do hope all of you lovely people have as much of a fantastic week as I am going too....

Well hello there I hope you had a great weekend..Me mine was good. iworked on sat and then hit up an estate sale with my friend Heather.When we got there it was fill a box up for $5.00..yey!!!! I must admit it was pretty sparse but i found a few gems...some awesome vintage wallpaper 3 rolls(excited!!!) and a tea pot and dish and a cute little pillow... and then sun I sold at the WX in Sacramento..its our local antique flea market..it was a pretty slow day but I managed to sell 5 pieces of furniture and some vintage clothing....I better get started on some more as between my show and the wx I am pretty much cleared out....
So onto the reason I hate my computer. Well I have taken lots of pictures of my finished dinning room and other bits and bobs and my stupid computer will not download them..so as soon as I can I will post them but in the meantime here are some great pictures I found on Decor8(i love this blog)hope you enjoy...(ps.. It was a great success..Our first Eclectic treasures show was so much fun(be it that it got just a tad bit hot by the afternoon)people still came out and showed there support and I thank you for that..

I feel like I have totally neglected my little blog but I have been so busy with family matters(that hopefully have been sorted out)But I will still have to go to England but it looks more like sept/oct..to just finalize everything..whew...its been very stressful but I wont bore you with the details...
But on a good note I am having a show at my house this Saturday July 31st from 10-3 if you live near stop on by.. (And Sarah i would love it if you came and introduced yourself this time..:0)

Doing what you might ask?????

Well closing up my store.....Trying to sell my cute little car....Trying to organise the disaster that hit my house when I closed the store...

working on new peices of upcycled furniture..

Taking hubby away to celebrate his 40th..Selling at the WX antique market in Sacramento..

Things have been tough trying to recoup finances after closing,So im working part-time again and trying to figure out my next step of how to dig us out of the hole we got into openeing the store. Dont get me wrong I am so glad I did my long life dream of owning a store..But I do have to say Im alot less stressed now,not worring about how I am going to cover the bills on the store and the home...

As things wrpa up I will be posting more often but for now it will be alittle here and there.But I still would love you to follow and send messages I love hearing your thoughts..

I have to admit i'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now with my to do list...So I thought I would do a visual list to make it a little more fun and less stressfull..

Move my craftroom upstairs so #3 child can have his room back

Sell our tv unit as its way to big for our house

Stock my Etsy store and really focus on marketing and selling from it..

Have a garage sale to clear all the clutter that has taken over our small house..Can I sell children and pets too..Just kidding..

Finish closing up my shop..sad face..

I have to go to England to get my nan settled in a new nursing home..Could be there for a month..UGHHHH

And then maybe when all of this is done I can do this...sit reflect on the past year and BREATHE...

This sadly is the last week of BOHO Boutique and Consignment ..We will officially be closing our store front this Saturday..This has been a really hard decision to make as I had said in a earlier post but as the end is near, I am feeling a little bit happier about our choice.I have to admit I'm looking forward to spending sometime at home working on our very neglected old house, as well as spending time with my hubby..Also to not have to worry if I am going to sell enough to cover my overheads is going to be very nice..

I will miss you BOHO but I know that this is not the end but just the beginning of new adventures...

It's been a couple of busy days..On Sunday I had a space at the WX, which is a antique/flea market in Sacramento..This was the first time I have had a space and had a great time meeting fun people and selling lots of things..yey me..

Ive been gone much longer then expected...So sorry...things have been weighing me down for the last few weeks..But more on that in a minute...

But first, we had an absolutely fantastic time with our son while he was on leave from Afghanistan..We went to San Fran..,had parties, went to a beautiful wedding and just hung out.. I cant wait for him to come back again in 6 months and he will be home for a whole month..YEY!!!Please say a little prayer or a big one for that matter for him and all of the men and ladies overseas......

So alot has been going on in our life the last few months and some big decisions are having to be made....But not to bore you I will cut it short..The saddest one was that we had to put my Boutique up for sale..So for the last month we have been trying to sell (and I mean really trying)we have even knocked down the price so much that if someone did buy it they got a steal....But with this economy people are very nervous which I totally understand..But at the same time I really want to see BOHO carry on it's such a cute little store and I really would hate to close the doors for good...So keep your fingers crossed for a buyer to come and save the day....Also just to let you know I will still be doing my furniture, but just from home..

Also it looks like I will have to head off back to England for a little while..I am hoping no longer then a month..And I know what you are all thinking ENGLAND...how great would that be..Believe me this will not be a vaca .. I am going for family reasons and not fun ones....so again keep your fingers crossed that I will be home earlier then a month...

So lets see I have asked you to pray once and keep your fingers crossed twice and for that I think i might do a little give away,, just cause you are being so nice and I am being demanding...

Well i hope you all had a wonderful weekend..Mine was great I spent the weekend down in So Cal with my sis and nephew..we hung out at the beach, did some garage saling hit up a flea market and scored on a couple of vintage dresses....And ate out everyday for every meal..Packed on the calories:0)
Then came home on Monday and finished two new pieces of furniture and 4 new headbands and 2 necklaces..i did feel accomplished...So please meet

So I was wondering around my house yesterday you know as you do..And I realized I collect a lot of things..So I thought I would post some pics of some of my ever growing collections..

1. My mum loved to read and we always had books everywhere in out house..So I get that from her. I love reading books fiction,travel,decorating you name it i have it..And this picture is only about a 1/4 of my collection...
2. I love paper and use it in refurbishing my furniture, and I am going to try and make a journal for my BFF when she comes out in August..So, I will use some of my paper on that..I will let you know how it turns out..
3.Hats.. LOVE THEM!!!! I use to think I looked like a boy in them but now I dont or dont care if I do...LOL
4. Butterflies...I have always thought they are beautiful..But since my mum passed 2 years ago, I always see them in my yard when i am sitting on the porch. I think its her telling me everything is going to be ok..
5,6,7,8, and 9. Ok I know it looks bad... my biggest collection is jewelry I love how easily jewelry is to wear.
It can change a whole outfit, it can hide your flaws it can make you feel beautiful,it can bring back memories or make new ones....It can be passed down for generations...I'm sorry but what is there not to love about jewelry!!!!

1. When do you feel happiest? When my three kids are happy and when the sun shines!!!!

2. How do you take care of yourself? I really try to eat healthy, I have tried to become a vegetarian but I struggle, so i only eat chix and fish, only wholewheat pasta bread ect..but I do indulge in Wine...I also work out 5 days a week mixing it up by walking and using the gym...Sleep is something I struggle with..I wish for the day i can sleep for a solid 8 hours...

3. Are you internally (by yourself) or externally (by others) motivated?A bit of both i suppose..Im quite shy until i get to know people, but i love being around talented people..I guess you could say i am a people watcher..

4. What do you do for fun? well lets see between the shop and my second job i dont have a great amount of time left but i love going for walks,dancing, watching funny movies...

I came across these pictures today on the internet(not sure what sight)if you know let me know so i can give credit)..Anyways I love these pictures, they make me feel well how can i put this...NOT OLD..see I am 42 this year..And no i don't hate it I actually love being 40ish....And these pictures just prove how great being 40ish is...
Now don't get me wrong I'm sure they all have personal trainers and what not but still they give me the desire to get up and exercise everyday..ok maybe every other day...

I think my favorite ones are the two of Brooke Shields i grew up with her..well not personally but all my magazines had her picture on the cover and I loved her in Blue lagoon..I know cheezy but still I liked it..And then Lipstick jungle just last year..shame they canceled it. I hope you all had a fantastic Easter...Us, very quiet..organized the craftroom/office,moved around the living room, which for me happens weekly..See i am a little bit like a gypsy(I get that from my mum)The joke in our family is when I finish decorating the last room in the house we move..But as in this economy we cant afford to move we are stuck..So instead i move furniture around or repaint..Much to my families despair...Anyways that was about it for us for Easter...

We had a pretty tough week last week...My hubby hasn't been feeling very well so, I talked him into going to the doctor's..Well just to let you know he never goes to the doctors..So for him to make an appoitment straight away told me that he thought something was wrong too...So on thurs off he went, and the doc did a once over on him..and then on friday morning, he went to have blood test..By friday afternoon we found out he has diabetes..Now i know its not to life threatening.. But, still it was a shock for us..Straight away I called my Aunt who is a diabetic dietitian and she came over..She went over diet and everything else with us..(thank you so much Aunt Cindy)And im very proud to say since friday my dear hubby has been working very hard at lowering his blood sugars..Now we are just waiting to see the doctor again to go over all of his options...
Now I know I dont normally post about these sort of things but it just shook me up a bit and made me realize how much I love my husband and how greatful I am to have him in my life....(don't get me wrong i knew I loved him but at times you just take things and life for granted)
And maybe you are wondering about the picture above well 1. i love it 2. we are English and 3. this is were my hubby and i will be sitting 40 years from now holding hands...

I can only spread myself so thin..I feel if we can get through this. The rest of the year will be fantastic or at least plain sailing....Keep your fingers croseed for us..But I know we will be ok because we have a lot of this....

and because we have alot of love for each other we will come out doing this....

I have had a very busy couple of days..On Sunday the sun shone all day.. So hubby and I worked in the garden again..Its coming along, we weeded, planted more veggies, cleaned garden furniture, and so much more..Then on Monday I worked at my second job at 430am ughhhh..came home took a nappie and then got busy making things for the shop..and here they are.I'm very happy with the way they all turned out..I would love to hear your thoughts on them.....

Its the weekend...

I Had a great morning..Went to a great vintage sale and scored big time..These two ladies were great..They were about 60 years old and every time someone picked up an item of clothing they would tell you what year they wore and were too..I picked up this dress and one told me she wore it to her first day of high school, I couldn't believe the great stuff they had..I picked up some great items for the shop. I will post pics next week..I hope you all have a fantastic weekend..mine will start in 4 hours. I plan on finishing some pieces that I have been working on as well as working in my garden..see you soon.

Wow, It's been a real quiet day at the shop..I'm sure this horrible rain is not helping..But I did get everything ready for the big blow out sale tomorrow...So all you bargain shoppers out there make sure you stop by and check us out....

Also,As I have an obseesion for purses I thought I would do a whats in your purse post..

So here it is....
*The Purse is vintage and one of my favorite.....(I have sold most of my purses now and do need to find some more to fill the gaps in my closet more on that in mondays post)
*The wallet is made by a company that is called Depeche Mode..I know I was thinking the samething....Wouldn't that be cool if it was designed by the band Depeche Mode or am i just showing my age and none of you(all 9 of you that read my blog..and I thank you for that..)know who they are????
*The little green book my best friend in England gave me. Its where i keep all my little bits of inspiration, recipes(because I like to think I can cook) blogs, websites ect....
*Pink phone(still learning how to use it)I hate shopping for things like that. So I always send hubby and he seems to think I like pink phones as this is the third one he has picked for me...
*Lip balms times three..I hate lipstick but do like lip balm..I dont actually like the brown tube its to thick and gooey..but I cant bring myself to throw it away...
*keys-self explanatory
*Banana I sort of forget to eat when I get busy and then my sugar levels drop so this carries me over until i can get a meal...
*Sharpies & Bracelet I have had to go back to Starbucks part-time so the sharpies are for writing on the cups and the bracelet is to cover my tattoo as we cant have them showing :0(

My friend Tyler came into town and we had so much fun..She came up to the shop and we hung out for hours..And when we didn't have any customers, we played dress up and took photos...Now as i said before I don't like having my photo taken. So I think I did a pretty good job of hiding my face,What do you think...

So this week has been long and hard (not that I am complaining ok maybe I am). But im excited for tomorrow a good friend is coming into town and she is coming over for a girls night with wine food and Gossip...FUN....
I so need to give my brain a break from the stress of running my store.Now, don't get me wrong I love my little store but the worry everyday of am I going to hit my target today or even sell one item is starting to wear me out...I believe in my self and my store but its just hard sometimes to keep your chin up..so now I got that off my chest..Thank you for listening..

I did finish this piece(I named her Charlie) this week. And it was heading for the store but oops it got stuck in my living room and just wouldn't budge..I think it looks happy there..What do you think???

My hubby doesn't often surprise me but he did today!!!I walked into my store in my own little world(praying that I am going to be busy..and as I get to the cash counter..OH my!!!!FLOWERS,FLOWERS,FLOWERS!!!!!He had snuck in right before I got there and delivered Three different arrangements of my favorite flowers as well as a box of chocolates and a hot latte...I love my hubby..And yes I know I am spoiled:0)

Im so looking forward to Sunday..Not because its Valentines(I mean that's a plus)But because I can sleep in and relax..Who am I kidding!! The sleeping in will hopefully happen if the dogs comply, but the relaxing..not a chance..So much to do..I just got hired by one of my lovely customers to make the jewelry and hairpieces for her wedding..Very excited So now I'm on a mission of Grey and Aubergine..
