This desk is great..you can't see it but the backside of it has built in shelves for books..Great space saver...

My hubby made a decision that i needed to take a brake and get away for the weekend...So off I went to see my dear friend Tyler in Santa Cruz...Oh how i want to live by the beach..We had a great time, we walked talked drank wine and of course shopped...It was lovely...Thanks Tyler.love ya..

So this will be my last post before Christmas..And I just wanted to post this picture of my Dining-room hutch decoration..I am going to make this my Christmas wish..To believe my son will be safe in Afganistain, that my Boutique is going to be a success and that my family is going to have a great 2010 as we really deserve it and need it after the last 2 years...Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you have a fantastic day with your loved ones...

Skipping Christmas...

Now skipping Christmas isn't something we normally do as Christmas is my favorite holiday. But, as our son left for Afghanistan the first week of December.So we had a small Xmas in November, when he got to come home for a week...So this Christmas we are decorating the kitchen..I know boring ay but we started this kitchen 2 1/2 years ago and its about  time we finished it...so the prep work has begun and hopefully by boxing day(the day after Christmas)we will be finished..so here are some before pics...

Sorry ive been sick.....

I love to wear Black. But rarely use the color in my     decorating. The window displays for Christmas are DONE!!!!!And look fantastic if I do say so myself..Now the only problem is I am a terrible photographer..So fingers crossed a darling friend of my sons is hopefully coming to take some real soon..So for now I will give you a small peak with one of my really bad photos..

Getting ready...

Still feeling sick, but determined to carry on..Rushing around trying to finalize everything for the fashion craft fair we are having at the boutique on Sunday(and now they are saying rain..not happy!!) And tonight, my good friend Michelle and I are decorating the store for Christmas..It should be a blast as we always have fun together even if it is work....I will post pics of the fair and the store next week...

My son is leaving tomorrow, back to Italy and then off to afganistan for a year..I will miss him terribly...Our hugs, phone calls and love yous are an everyday thing...And now they will be when and if he can get to a phone..But i will hold onto those last hugs we have tomorrow at the airport until I see him again..I love you son more then I can ever express and am so PROUD of you

WOW.....

WOW What a week....My son came home from Italy for a week before he is off to Afghanistan..So we(meaning myself and his friends) decided to throw him a surprise party..And much to our disbelief he was very surprised as you can tell by the picture..We also had Christmas this week as he wont get to have one..So it was weekend of much laughter,joy and wine...
Just some pictures thrown in of my decorations..I'm sure my neighbors thought we were insane with a tree up the 1st week of November..The cake stands I made using old plates and candlestick holders..they turned out lovely..


Again the horrible fact that i hate having my photo taken but, my daughter and sister look beautiful...
And last but not least the winner of the window display competition was Taylor from Whitney high School..Congratulations Taylor!!!!
