Tomorrow is my mum's birthday..She would of been 59 years old...Let me tell you a little bit about this wonderful person..

She was beautiful..

She was giving...

She was smart...

She was passionate...

She was a teacher of life..

She loved unconditionally...

She embraced life...

She was a fighter...

She had strong values...

She was forgiving...

She was a grandmother a partner a friend

But most of all she was my mother and I was very blessed to have her in my life...

She was diagnosed with cancer almost two years ago and given two days to live..But the fighter she was she fought it for three months.. Im sure that was partly for us as we all lived in the US and she lived in England..

All her Grandchildren and my sister got to fly over and spend some special time with her..

I miss her everyday. I miss talking to her,her advice,her funny little personal jokes that we shared.but most of all I miss her love....

Im not sure if there is an afterlife or anything but I do know that when ever I feel low or upset I see a orange butterfly(I have always loved butterflies)and I just feel its her telling me everything is going to be ok..

I love you and miss you so much mum..

I love everything about this room, it just looks so relaxing...The windows are flooded with light, I dont think I would ever get out of bed..Is that a good or bad thing...

Window display...

I just finished the window display for Valentines..I cut hearts out of my old Anthropologie catalogs(great way to recycle them) and placed them in the shape of a HEART..I love it its like a huge inspiration board that my customers and I can look at...

My store is in the historical part of our town and we have an old theater on the street....The building is artdeco and painted blue.But last week after raining every day,on Friday the sun decided to peek out behind the clouds for about 10 minutes and this is what I saw out my store window.Isn't it beautiful..And I'm not even a good photographer.

Rainy Friday....

Another day of rain...but tomorrow they promise SUN...Oh how I pray they are right, I don't think I can go another day with rain...But on the other hand if I had this living-room I wouldn't mind staying in out of the rain.
This weekend I will be working at the store(moving things around & putting new items out..) and then hubby and I will be doing the taxes to see how much we didnt make last year:0(..
so, I hope you all have a much better weekend then I, and see you next week...

Just thought I would post  a little bit of cheer..If the rain is getting you down, like it is me. BOHO just got in some great colorful items for spring and summer and I thought I would post them..sorry pics aren't that great. I took them real quick..

  I do know I am sooo looking forward to spring...

aghhhhh.....

It has been raining for days and days....And when that happens I do not get many customers..so rain please go away and dont come back..but if you have to Sundays and Mondays are fine with me as I am not open...And the sad thing is I just got in some fantastic items and no one is getting to see them..but no worries they will be here when the sun does come out...This week i did have to go back to part-time work in the evenings as the store is not paying me a wage.Believe me it wasnt something I was looking forward to but you do what you have to do. And, if it means I can still keep my store open then I will do IT.......But I do have a few ideas twirling around in my head to drum up business so please keep checking for future events at BOHO..  

Back from LA...

Back from LA and my computer is even worse then before I left..It wont let me copy,paste,download pics, ect..I dont know what the heck is going on...And my laptop at home has a virus..So Im a little frustrated right now...
Anyways, Our trip down to my sisters was very productive..
Long story short my sister and my 8 year old nephew live in a 1 bedroom condo, so my sister has lived in the diningroom for the last 4.5 years and the front door opens straight into it..So hubby and I went down and did some serious painting,moving furniture.building shelving(gotta love IKEA)and reorganizing...And guess what she LOVED it...as did my nephew..I will post the pics when I can get the thinging to work!!!!!!!!!
    We did get to spend a little time for ourselves we went to the beach, did some window shopping, went to a flee market...It was so nice the weather was great about 74 degrees and the sun was a shinning bright..And as we haven't seen any sun in a couple of weeks it was very nice indeed....
  Then we headed home..back to work and the rain.. It hasn't stopped since we got home..
I really hope it lightens up though, the store get really quiet when its rainy like this. People don't like to go out in this yucky weather...
well lovely's hopefully this picture glitch will be fixed soon..

My computer has not been very friendly of late..So sorry for the lack of posting..we will see if it will let me down load some pictures today.fingers crossed..I thought I would just post some pics of the Boutique and one of me with my new fringe(that's what we Brits call Bangs..)I'm not sure if it makes me look younger..What do you think???Im off down to Venice,Ca tomorrow to redecorate as cheaply as possible my sis's bedroom, that is in the Dining room..Im really excited, And I just hope she likes it..I will post pics when I come back if it looks good..lol
Also next week I will start posting the comparison outfits again..As long as my computer starts being nice..See you all next week

This is what I will be doing this weekend.....My son Lee is in Afghanistan and he has put in a request for one of my handmade blankets....i picked out some great pirate looking material but hubby said he would get bullied by his bunkmates..but when I talked to Lee the other day he approved the pirates he thought it would be cool..I mean really wouldn't every 22 year old man fighting a war want a cool pirate blanket...

some great finds....

I thought I would show a couple of my finds that I have purchased in the last couple of weeks...I got this great vintage purse(in fantastic condition I might add) last week(now in the store for sale) and then last night I was out looking for vintage plates for my cake stands and found this great dress for$5.35(score)and I just knew these tights and my bargain shoes from England would look perfect...

Also thought I would post this little gem I just finished yesterday and brought into the store..And then a great customer of mine Jenny from sugar-me-sweet.com came in and snapped it up for her house..Thank you Jenny for that and for helping me keep positive..

getting itchy feet....

So we have been in our house for 6 years now, and I know some of you are saying that's not long. Well for me its a record..I like to buy rundown houses fix them up and move along to the next sad little house.But as the economy is the way it is. That is not going to happen for us for sometime..So, I thought the next thing would be to dream of what I would I would like for the next house, if and when it happens..so here are some of my favorite rooms..

Help.......

Today i sit in my store,shop,boutique I never quite know what to call it????Anyways, And wonder, can I carry this on much longer...long hours,low sales, no paycheck, bills mounting up..should I go on..
And then I think what else can I do to support my business, the business that I am passionate about, the one that I want to succeed, where we can support the local community as well as ourselves..The one where people love to come in..And thats just it everyone that comes in tells me they love the look, the feel, the atmosphere..
So the challenge for me this year is to do everything in my power to make it a huge success..
So i need your help anyone out there have any great ideas to help me accomplish this task..I would love to hear what you have to say..
I know i can hear you say well you don't have many followers.. OK, I really only have a couple of you(and I am grateful to all 5 of you)But I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, and maybe you could get some input from your friends too...
